Cool My own list of worthy AddUrl sites

Most people agree that getting listed in directories with good PageRank is positive. We looked for them in Google, to avoid the zillions of unknown ones, and compiled a list of 300 in our site.

Many of these "good" engines or directories request careful hand submission, link exchanges, checking the email or another proof that you are not a robot...

We estimate that complete submission to this list takes a week work. My question is: Is it worth? How much PageRank can you expect from this task?

You can ask me for more info or find the site list in http://www.foundFirst.com/show.php .

Thanks!

A very long list indeed.

When I looked at the first two entries one was a submit URL service and the other was a pop under exchange.

Are these really directories?

There are about 50 directories among them. We are adding two fields to the table: Free? Link required? ... We sometimes agree to link, rarely to pay.

Most of them use redirectional scripts to link to your site. What a waste of time.

That is not correct. None of them links to my site. There is no referral code in the URLs I provide. Please check or give more details.

Ok, my mistake.
I checked the list and some sites lack the "http://", thus they redirect to my own site. I am correcting that.
Other than that, I have no relationship with the 300+ listed sites.

I think it is the cheaper way of obtaining some PageRank. Any site will go from 3 to 4 or 5 when it is listed in a significant numbers of directories. Search engines can also contribute with some traffic.

Hello netic,

Your list is excellent - thanks for making it available to the public. Another advantage to directory links is that they won't be removed by any reciprocal link filter.

Thanks again!

Eric
