Multiple links on same page to same domain
I need a quick confirmation please ...

If there are muliple links to the same URL on a page, then for PR flow and backlinks, only one of the links will be counted, correct?

But, if there are multiple links, each to a unique URL for the same domain, they will all be counted for PR flow and backlinks, right?

Example:

www.mysite.com/info.htm with links to www.myothersite.com/topic1.htm and www.myothersite.com/topic2.htm

There will be PR flow to topic1.htm and topic2.htm and this will count as 2 backlinks to the myothersite.com domain - correct?

no, backlinks to "www.myothersite.com" only are counted if they're pointed DIRECTLY at www.mothersite.com

yeah - sorry. I mean for the backlinks there will be one backlink to topic1.htm and 1 for topic2.htm --- so on each page if I have two links going to 2 different pages of the same domain with different anchor text ... I am just verifying that both links are *good* and it sounds like they are.

Basically, I have an option to place 3 links on a decent PR site in theme to one of my sites. I want all 3 to point to different pages with diff anchor test of a single domain ... I wanted to make sure I wasn't wasting the opportunity by having all links point to same domain.

Each link will count as a backlink for the page it links to.
PR is a page per page thing...
So yes they will all get a backlink.

Joc is correct. There is no overall site PR per se, it is a page by page thing. But, the PR of a page can be shared via internal linking.
