Links pages
If a links page is called links.html then it is not counted, but if the page just has links in the filename is it ignored also? example www.sdlfjsfjsdl.com/my-fav-links.html

the best thing to do is not to use the word links at all.

I know that links preceding passes pr (eg mysite.com/links-carpet.php), I can't say with any certainty about your example but my guess is that it would be ignored.

even dmoz.org/link.html get PR 9

A strange thing, I see some links.html get pr, some don't, how does this happen?

Very few backlinks from links.htm (etc..) pages are showing up for my site, even if they are PR4 or higher..

I have named my links pages relatedsites.htm (or similar), just to be nice to the ones I'm linking to, and I never accept a link exchange from links.htm (etc..) pages, just to be sure..

They will get PR, count for your own backlinks but will not count to your link partners...

I have a whole directory built on pages named links.html
They are all ranked and counted - seemingly as normal, as are all links coming inwards and going outwards!

they don't happy...many people are into this links.xxx doesn't pass pr or will get you penalized. i don't buy it personally but sometimes an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure! better to be safe than sorry and any other played out saying you can think of.

Quite, we are of the opinion that we'll keep looking for and taking reciprocal links and if we spot opportunities for 3 (or more) way links we take them as well. :-)

I'm going to put up some tests for reciprocal links shortly and will post the results in 4-6 weeks...
