Indexed with PR3, but showing PR0

Anyone have any ideas on why my site shows PR0(white bar), yet the indexed page has a PR3? The site is fairly new, but i don't see why the indexed page would be higher than the real thing

What do you mean? Your subpages have PR and not the home... indexed pages have a higher PR than the real thing?

The top page shows PR0, but if i look at the cached version of the page, it says PR3

Hi Gothman,

The cached copy of your page is not your "indexed page" - it's a page on googles domain.

Googles cache copies were all showing pr3 when I checked a random bunch earlier but when I look now they are all "grey bars"... Interesting...

Anyway - the point is - for your purposes... the pr for the cache page (or indexed page as you call it) has nothing to do with your site pr

Hmm i just went to check... What's it generally mean when there's no cached
version link, just the URL link, description and...

Find web pages that are similar to mysite.com
Find web pages that link to mysite.com
Find web pages that contain the term "mysite.com"

The sites 8 months old? :-|

Is a little unusual bangbang - unless you used a "noarchive" option in your robots metatag which specifically instructs google not to store a cached copy.

Nope, none of my sites pages have "noarchive" tags except the vBulletin forum.

I just have the usual Doctype, Title, Keywords, Description, "Robots Index,Follow"
and the only unusual tag is "MSSmartTagsPreventParsing"

WHOAH... HOLD UP. I think you have just helped me to find what i have been tearing my hair out for months thinking im penalized...

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=unicode">

I had my pages fully coded, and just before going online i decided to use SSI changing the pages to .shtml

Please oh please tell me this would cause non-existant SERPS, basically no spidering and no PR.

I have absolutely no idea bangbang - but it seems feasible...

Let us know if you have some success when you change it - and good luck
