I dont understand it
I dont understand it ......
I went and got links for my site from all over the place , when i search in google for links i have 5 . when i look in web master tools i have 500 . yet my page rank still does not move (it is at zero ) am i getting bad links ? Regards Malcolm |

A link: search on Google only ever returns a very small percentage of all the links.
Toolbar pagerank is only updated periodically. How old are the links. If they're less than 2 or 3 months then they won't yet show in the TBPR. Of course that's not to say that the links are indeed "worthless". If they're primarily coming from directories, forum signatures, and syndicated articles then I wouldn't hold out great hopes for much PR. More important than PR however is their effect on the SERPs. Have you noticed any improvements in keyword ranks as a result of these links?
