How Long to re-appear in Backlinks after Penalty?
I've heard of web sites that no longer pass PR value. Some of these site owners say it is only a matter of time that they will return to pass PR value. Is this true and how long does it take?

When a website no longer appears in any Google backlink results, how long does this penalty last? What if they clean their act up totally? Do they ever get their normal standing back? What does real history show?

For those of you out there that have personally experienced what I am talking about with one of your domains, have any of you been re-listed in any backlink results pages? If so how long did it take and what did you have to do?

If this is a permanent penalty do they need to shut down the site and just get a new domain name then copy all the content back into the new site and wait a month? Or is there still hope for such a domain?

Has Google responded to such a question?

google usually has penalized such sites because it thought they were using their link popularity to manipulate search results.

they have not stated that the penalties will ever be removed.

the sites are still good for something, they just become useless for renting out link popularity to rent out pagerank.

Is there any other way to find out if your site has been penalized besides waiting for the next PR update and finding a grayed our bar? Will google email you and let you know what has happened?

no gothman, they wont...you really won't know for sure until the next update. the site in question thats not passing PR might still keep it's current PR, google just stops counting their outbound links.
