Google Update July

Google has just updated and changed the BL We are surprised to see that it is has double the BL of all our sites. Now in BL it is showing pages with PR0 PR1,2,3 What is the New move from Google

I have idea that the Back Link theory (PR4) is being removed by google , and now it is counting only theme based and there is no question of PR-0 or more. Question is theme of the page where from you are getting link.

My internal pages all have PR4, but my main page which used to be PR6 is still a 0 since the last update. Last update, my main page went from PR6 to PR0, and all but three of the internal pages lost PR. Then also my main page dropped out of the index entirely.

Now my main page is back in the index but still PR0, even though it is showing backlinks and obviously passing PR to the internal pages (as the internal pages are only linked to from the home page and each other)

Hopefully, they are still in the process of updating and will calculate PR for the main page again.

My Bl's have gone down I hope Google is still updating them here in the UK.
I sit here with bated breath and my fingers and toes crossed.

How long does an update usually take once started? I am seeing lots of changes in BL on sites but no change in PR. Have even checked across all Goggle's datacenters but no apparent changes.

this update is freaking everyone out because BL's and PR usually update simultaneously...this time just the BL's updated, and did so very strangely...BL's with pr0-3 are showing up everywhere but no pr movement etc.

Whats the site to check all the datacenters for PR?

I can't help you BLazeD (sorry) but I can say that I've not seen any reports of changed PR yet, except for several instances of pr being reduced to 0.

Also - I have seen instances of google showing B/L's from pages <pr3 for a few weeks now, even mentioned it in several threads on here...

It is strange that it's only applied to certain sites though.

yeah, my backlinks went up from 100 to 600 when do people think the PR will update??

I'm seeing PR changes, nothing major but they are certainly there.

Sorry, i think your toolbar needs to be refreshed. It doesn't seem like there is a pr update going on now. If not by tonight, i strongly suspect that another round of updates have been skipped, and this is going to be the main stream from now on. (Not 23 days, but 46 days)

I'm seeing the same thing on my site, main page PR dropped from 4 to 0 sometime in the last day, but internal forums are still at a 4

It doesn't seem to make a lot of sense for internal pages to now have PR but the home page of a site to be stuck at 0. I wonder what is happening?

I would not worry. In my experiences, crazy things happen during the update. I have had sites drop from a PR5 to PR0 during an update only to end up with a PR 6 in the end. Just give Google a couple of days and everything will back to normal

I don't USE a toolbar. These are PR changes recorded by the Digital point tool. I've had three sites jump from 3 to 4, two from 4 to 5 and one from 5 to 0!

My bottomline with this update: I am totally confused and cannot make any sense out of what is happening. Just have to wait to see what the final looks like when the dust settles.
