Google to remove PR from Toolbar
One morning, I opened my IE browser, and PageRank was gone from Google Toolbar. I thought Google finally pulled the trigger. I checked a few websites and seo forums to see the reaction, of course nothing. Somehow, PageRank was unchecked on Toolbar Option.

What if, what if Google decided to remove PageRank from the Toolbar?

There are other tools out there that allow you to check your PR without the toolbar. Helpful for Mac users & non IE users at the present time.

You dont need the toolbar anymore , there many other sources out there that can give you a rank, just do a online search

i think it was a really dumb idea to show pagerank in the first place.
it was obviously a marketing ploy to get you to download the toolbar so they could track your every move.
but with everyone 'selling' pagerank these days...makes you wonder if they now regret it.

I think that they have a fine database collection now that they can cross reference to know who has been gaming their system.... but I doubt that they regret making PR public ... because it is becoming less and less of a factor in the algo (IMO). It is surprising to me that PR continues to be the driving determinants of "website advertising" prices.
