Don't think about PR it's become old and focus on search engine ranking. Now you can see a site doesn't have any PR but it is coming on the first page of search engine.

The page rank updation is varies from time to time, some year ago google page rank is after 2 to 3 months, some time it is every month and some time it change one week, and most important it also update after 2 days.

Launched our site in late June early July and have been waiting patiently for page rank to update. Just saw from zero to 2 today. I was hoping for 3 but I guess its nice to see something. When it disappeared from webmaster tools I thought I might never see a PR.

1) Quite clearly so many guys do talk about PR updates, it is part of the SO world love it or hate it.

2) Are you really that insecure that you have to brag you are better than other people in every other thread ? .. us SEO practitioners who know .... you make me laugh JV

3) Are you really saying all other things being equal, you could get a PR0 site to rank just as quickly and well as a PR 6 site.

I would agree that relevancy trumps Visible PR every time, but that doesn't mean PR bears no (direct or indirect) relation to SERP's.
