Hi all,
I am having a real hard time getting one of my sites into google. Its nearly 4 months old and in google but not in the search results despite having first class content and Page Rank 6. The frustrating thing is that the search results when using my targeted keyword are a joke...Google cannot be serious. Approximately half of the results are made up of domains like....www.blabla.de.tp or www.blabla.biz.md or www.blabla.de.vu!...not exacktly top level!! What makes it worse is that these pages have zero content, consist normally of nothing more than a redirekt straight to the Partner. Often the sites have a low page rank and very few backlinks. I must say i used to imagine i understood a thing or to about google...now i'm really doubting myself. It seems as if i'm being penalized for adhering to googles guidelines!! Instead of concentrating on what your competitors are doing, look after what you can control.
Add more incoming links, preferably themed to your website. More incoming links, from both other websites and directories, will give you more link popularity and more Google PageRank. Add more pages of content. The search engines prefer sites that have more pages. The larger sites tend to do better in search results. Search engines love fresh content. By adding more content, you will get crawled more often, which is always a good thing. Added content also gives you even more keyword search phrases. Some of them may rank highly, and draw strong traffic flows. Make certain you have good keyword density, to emphasise the relevance of your pages to the search. Don't get carried away though. Let the keywords, in various combinations and stems, flow naturally in your copy. Check your title tags. Do they contain your main keywords? If not, add them. Search engines place weight on the title tags. That should get you ahead of those nasty competitors, who could be easily beaten.
