I see new pages getting PageRank - from 0 to 4, 5 or 6.

Let's start the "after PageRank update chaos", NOW!

Obviously, the PageRank scale shifted down...

have checked my blog in dig pagerank . com and some datacenters have updated PR... don't know if its true... I'll just wait and see for the results...

I see allot of sites down in page rank.

We have had a mix bag of results this time some up and some down overall not bad.

Yep, it's here. I am seeing mixed results. My only PR7 went to a PR5

But I had a bunch of PR3s that went to a PR5. A bunch of PR0 went to PR4. And a site that is only 30 days old went to a PR4.

2 of my sites dropped, and another went up - and not by as much as I thought it would. For that site, I have 3+ "authority site" backlinks that range from PR 5 to PR 7, plus hundreds more that are all over the map....and my big reward is a boost from PR1 to PR3....

Whats that all about?

Regardless, in the past couple of months, I went from invisible on GGL, to a few first page serps (long tail KWs) and several more 2nd page. I know that's progress, which is what is important, but a healthy green bar just looks good on a site somehow...

my blog got a PR 3 today when i checked after reading this article.
I am amazed coz there is very little text
so i checked 3-4 times its still PR3

but the webmaster tools in the statistics>>crawl section is showing a full 100% bar for "page rank not yet assigned"

can any one tell why?

Do you think on-page optimization improves PR of your website?

Not so much. It's pretty much about quality backlinks, and not linking out to "bad neighborhoods", or selling links, etc.

Datacenters are probably still dancing around, and probably will for a while longer. Use this tool to see your PR on multiple datacenters:

Also, I have noticed that data/stats in the back office of webmaster tools often represents something other than reality. Your "top queries" as listed there are either higher or lower than shown if you check them (chances are) and sometimes it will say "no data available at this time" when there was data shown an hour ago or yesterday - most likely because there was a recent crawl that is being taken into account.

Point being, it's always in flux, give or take, and its really more like a "snapshot" of available data at some given point in time, rather than a live, accurate, up to the minute report - IMHO.

That is actually really interesting given that google owns youtube.com I think something else has changed as well as penalty to link sellers and general revaluation of LJ transfer. I think that there may be some fundemental change to way TBPR is calculted. Just speculation of course no evidence. But there seems to be many inconsistencies in this update across the various boards I have been reading.

I've noticed a lot of blogs had their PR reduced. This could possibly be how Google calculates PR since a lot of blogs provide tons of out-going links.

Yes I think as well that something fundamental changed but if you see for example on youtube the categories or channels etc the PR is still quiet high so I guess we have to wait a bit till everything is adjusted...
Nevertheless till now I havent seen any major drops in the SERPs and I thats where (at least for me) comes the money from. I dont sell links, I dont buy links so for me there is no money in this field.
