Dynamic Pages
It seems google now indexes dynamic pages just as well as static in my experience, as they ussually rank just as high in the SERPs Ive checked out. Ive been examining this for a while and currently have both indexed for a single site in Google (may be good or bad.
But Im curious, in terms of pagerank.... Does google count the following pages as two different pages(and hence, contributing as a separate backlink): http://www.domain.com/product.php?product_id=1 http://www.domain.com/product.php?product_id=2 Then furthurmore, would the following be counted as a single or two separate backlinks: http://www.domain.com/?product_id=1 http://www.domain.com/?product_id=2 Anyone have any experience with this? Ive been trying to find a large dynamic site that I can check the backlinks on the see if these show up as separate. Im obviously concerned about how this will ultimately effect PR if I can get every page to count as a separate backlink with a consistantly high PR. Purely empiracal, from personal experience, using advanced search (this is no science). I have most my pages indexed 3 times in google (mostly an accident)...one static, one dynamic with a page, one dynamic with the root. Its a toss up between the dynamic ones most time, with the static listing ahead of the two 1/3 of the time or less. Im not going to be able to sit here an give you equations or anything along those lines, as we don't know these algorithms. But this is what Ive been finding with a single site through many, many searches. This may be wrong generally, but seems to work in my case, so Im going for it. With that said, Im merely concerned about the PR aspect, as I can, taking advantage of dynamic pages, get any page to have the highest PR assigned to the site. I just do not necessarily know if these pages are going to be counted as backlinks.

morsee:
those are all separate pages to google. take a look at this result for backward links for the site ukwda.org: view this google link search: http://www.google.com/search?num=10...G=Google+Search go to page 8 of the results. see the charon.co.uk links near the top for example. you get stuff like: http://www.charon.co.uk/content.asp...28&ArticleID=49 http://www.charon.co.uk/content.asp...27&ArticleID=39 www.charon.co.uk/content.aspx?CategoryID=20 www.charon.co.uk/content.aspx?CategoryID=2 www.charon.co.uk/content.aspx?CategoryID=24
