Do outbound links affect the pagerank of a webpage?
would a webpage that has 50 inbound links pointing to it, but only one outbound link, have a better pagerank than an identical page with the same amount of inbound links but with 10 outbound links?
What does everyone think? -Jon 8) P.S. Does anyone know of any good articles regarding pagerank? |

If the incoming links are identical (from the same pages) , then yes.

If the outbound links go to entirely different pages, there would be no difference at all.
Outbound links will only dilute your PR when they are on pages that link back to your homepage (or any other page in your own site). In this case you are sending less PR back to your homepage and thus diluting (in a very minor way) its PR. Gringo. |
