Commission Junction and PR

I'm preparing to start using CJ and I'm wondering if there are any backlink benefits from doing so.

Specifically, does the PR from an affiliate's link accrue to the ultimate landing page, or does it some how accrue to the CJ re-direct page (www.qksrv.net.....). I saw some posts from last year about this, but haven't seen any current information.

The same question goes for any ad-tracking re-direct.

You will receive sales benefit...that's about it. Each affiliate link is treated as a separate URL, and thus relays very very little (if any) PR benefit. The old posts you saw pretty much sum it up.

Also, as a side note on CJ...if you ever decide to change your product images on CJ, let your affiliates know ahead of time -- it can be a real hassle.

I'm planning on getting into CJ as well very soon, so I did a little bit of resarch in my field. I noticed that while a lot of affiliate pages would put up the affiliate tracking link, but they would also put up a standard, static link as well. I'd say about 30% of them. So while Cygnus is right - sales would be the main benefit, PR would just be a side-benefit that you may or may not reap.

I think Amazon is very savvy in offering bonuses for direct product links, their serps for tens if not hundreds of thousands of items rock.
