Benefit of google pagerank
Hi,
As google has recently updated pageranks, my website has jumped from pr0 to pr3. I was pretty happy about it at first. But I actually have no idea, what benefits does the google pagerank brings with it. I mean, how can I actually use it to either earn revenue or to increase the traffic, as the traffic to website is still pretty low.

From an SEO perspective, Pagerank on its own brings very little value. Pagerank only says you have sites of no particular subject linking to you. To do well in the SERPs you need backlinks from sites that are relevant to the subject matter of the page they are linking to.
Many times you will see sites of lower pagerank place well above other pages of higher pagerank. The primary reason for this is that their backlink profile indicates that the lower pagerank page has higher relevance to the search query; placing the lower pagerank page above the one of higher PR.

Pagerank is just one of many (200+) indicators of how a site should rank, so in itself it's fairly worthless. To be honest, I haven't checked the pagerank of any site for at least 6 months as I'd rather rely on better metrics (Such as the SEOMoz domain authority).
SEO isn't all about bumping up your pagerank - it's about driving traffic... so the best thing to do is identify the keywords you want to rank for and work towards that

Its good to have high page rank, it means according to google your site is good but it does not mean you will get ranking too. To get ranking you need to work on on page and off page.

This is totally wrong. All PR indicates is that you have other sites linking to you. The site can be terrible. You can trade or buy backlinks that link to a garbage site that will make people vomit, but that site might have good PR.

Another turkey. We have to start weeding these posters out. How can anyone learn when this type of gibberish is allowed?

LOL man, it reminds me a tune everybody wants to sing alone but because

PR really tells you the reputation of a site. if you have a high PR it wont bring you more traffic really. BUT... if you have a lot of traffic your rank will go up, most likely so PR doesn't improve anything but it will just tell you how well the site has been doing. traffic effects pr but pr doesn't effect traffic
