Another PageRank Tool

Here is another tool to see the PageRank of a page without using Google's ToolBar. This PageRank Checker was designed to accompany the PageRank Calculator that I mentioned previously. They differ in purpose but go together well.

How does the PageRank Calculator work? I think it must be crap.

A link to the basis of this algorithm is listed below the actual calculator. Why would you think this is crap?

Thanks bling

I've used the one to help me calculate the PR on one of my new sites. Will let you know how accurate it is in the next update ;)

Why people would use this tool? The only reason I see would be if they don't want to have Google toolbar installed. For me Google toolbar works just fine. No need for any tools. It would be nice to see some tools that would calculate PR in percentages automatically. For example you just type your URL and the tool calculates your PR of let’s say 6.4

With the PageRank Checker, you don't have to visit each indiviual site.

Also it is impossible to get a decimal place (ex PR 5.3) with out guessing. The PR you see is all that Google supplies.

The PageRank Checker will be expanded however to be able to check multiple sites at once. What you see right now is just the first step.

although it's interested, I wouldn't say that it's all that useful.

if your tool says I have a 5.9, I'm not going to assume that I'm actually one or two links away from a PR6. without viewing google's internal code, there's no way you could come up with something like that- and even then, you'd need access to their cached pages.

Just being able to check one site at a time may not be entirely usefull if you already use the Google toolbar.

With that in mind, a new Advanced PageRank Checker view has been added so that multiple sites may be checked at the same time.

If there is a way for it to be more usefull, then please let me know.

Really nice link... Any PR tools are most welcome...

Up until recently I had no idea what that little bar was... and now it's become the most important consideration I have!!

How things change...

I thought the calculator was interesting but doesn't the value of the PR passed get dilluted by the number of links per page? Out of curiosity was there a "base" to estimate the value?
