Lightbulb 1xPR7 & 2xPR6 or 10,000 PR6's?

Hi,

If you had the choice of having:

1xPR7 (front-page) & 2xPR6 (inner-page)

OR

1xPR6 (front-page) & all 10,000 sub pages (all indexed by G*)

It is a simliar themed site and my site is a PR4 (front-page).

Let me know your thoughts?

If the links in both cases come from the same website, the second option would be the best one. The more backlinks you get, the better.

Get both of them.

The 10,000 links will give you some good anchor text, and the PR7 will get your site crawled more often.

I agree with you. If you can afford it then get booth. They give different values to the site. I pay for a PR7 to be sure that I have it eaven though I have some other PR5/6 links also but the PR7 is worth a lot more, PR is not linear. Then, how much that does for the ranking in the serps is another story.
I am a firm beliver that its perfectly OK to buy links and PR. The volounter nature of the web is since long gone for at least us in the commercial area.

I agree with laiwa. a PR7 would do things for you that PR6's don't.
I'm planning on buying a few links myself to get my PR boosted and
hopefully it will help my SERP.

I'd say 10,000 PR6 links would get you crawled more often than a PR7 link...

In my limited experience, I would have to agree. A single PR7 won't do nearly as much for your as the multiple PR6 links, but I'm not sure you would get the benefit of all 10,000. You may, you may not, but I would certainly go with that option if anything.

I am sure there must be an upper threshold for links from the same site. I can't see Google giving PR credit for 10,000 links all point to the same place.

Having said that, the threshold is over 100, because I've seen it.

Get the 10,000 pr 6, but eventually it would help you a lot to get a PR 7.
