    Exclamation Wrong info..

Hi guys. pls take a look at this.
With one of my clients site, we face an issue.
When searching for a particular Keyword, a website page comes up, that shows wrong representation of the work that my client does! As we cannot stop somebdy from doing that, there's has to be a way out to discourge them. I donot know what means they are following to be at the SERP's, but they are managing it well.
We are in a dilemma abt what to do with the issue!!!
    Any suggestions!!
    Many Thanks.
    C lino.

[P.S: How long does it takes google to shuffle their results for a particula keyword??]

Thanks 4 the reply Sir, but I think I already tried it. His point is very valid and I have myself analyzed it with neutral basis. Moreover the culprit site is above the clientís site. So itís difficult to convince him to change on that.
Have to lookout for a way out; until unless the SE shuffles them.

Sorry but I missed that. You have a client(seo, programming, web design?) which is on the top for a phrase. Exactly why do you want them not to have this position? How exactly does it relate to you>?

    I will explain again.
I have a client for whom I am doing SEO.
Now, for a particular keyword, my client's site is ranking 5th and the site which contains a malicious article about my client's site is ranking 3rd.
Its unmoved for quite some time now...
That is the point of contention here. He wants it removed (and you know they only want that DONE.. leave else.. types!)
    So, thatís the scene!
    Hope the picture's clear, now

The only thing you can do is to place higher in the SERPs by getting more and better relevant backlinks. There is not much else you can do except to possibly sue the other company. This can be difficult, time consumming and costly.

Why not expand your horizons into SEM and consider PPC? Place your listing in the number 3 position. IF nothing else, your searchers will read scan the title of your PPC campaign. It might be enough to throw enough confusion into the searchers mind that will make them discount the negative web site. (especially if your PPC ad appears to be from a third part??)

Just a thought, but that is what I would do.

Oh,and one more thing. I would not bash their site in the PPC ad. After all, this is not politics. Rather, post an ad that does nothing more than say everything good about your site. Keep it positive.

To me it sounds as if you aren't doing SEO very well. I say this because for someone to rank higher than your target niche/market they probably wouldn't invest huge amount of time SEO. You shold be able to reclaim that position and defame him.....

Then PPC option, for that I guess I have to invest from my pocket because master says that his focus is not the results now but the bad page. but never the less, i think it would be effective! (Y) So is the backlinks options!!

What do you mean by malacious codes?. Has he stole your clients site content and created a similar page?. If so, you can very well complain to google about the google site sitemaps page.
