Wordpress Widgets, Bad or Good?
Hello, I am wondering if Widgets on a Wordpress Blog is bad for SEO? I usually add everything manually, but wanted to add Widgets, so is this bad optimization for SEO?
Thanks. |

hello,
i have a wordpress blog too. in my opinion installing widgets is not seo unsafe as long as these widgets doesn't slow your blog down or mess with your blog's code or add unwanted string at the end of your blog addresses. one example for all. i use wordpress cform7. some months ago this blog suffered from a bug which added a string at the end of the web address...something like: ?wpcf7=json this added tons of duplicate contents and that was bad SEO of course. instead if you use all in one seo pack plugin it is good SEO because it adds tags, improve your posts titles and may boost your serp webtlk (dot) com Last edited by webtalk44 : November 1st, 2008 at 06:44 AM. |

Yes, if you are referring to link exchange widgets or social bookmarkings this is good for your site, this will help to increase your probability to get high page rank.

No, I am speaking of the template widgets, where you can adjust your sidebar automatically without going into files. You can do this in your WP-ADMIN section.
