Widgetbox for syndicating content!
Hi guys,
Does anyone here use a website called widgetbox? It allows you to turn your rss feeds and other website elements into widgets for users to easily add to there blogs websites etc. But its got a function for syndicating it thought social networking sites as well like facebook. The whole thing looks brilliant, takes you though a interactive walk though for adding the app with iframes BUT when you finish and view your app it doesn't work. My question is, has anyone used this and it actually worked? |

widgets are fine but make sure it is coming from legitimate sources or else you are facing the risk of someone trying to install malware in your site or blog. |

I'm using widgetbox which has a tool that allows you to enter a rss feed which in turn creates a widget on the widgetbox website.
Am i exposed this way to malware?? I think it is a form of SEO because you have links to your website inside the widget and anyone can embed it, on there website, blog, social network page (like facebook). One question I do have is if someone adds the widget will it count as a backlink? |

Actually when you have a faulty widget like those coming from bad sources that will install malware on your site. Google will flag your domain as a malware site and will affect search engine rankings. |
