Why is this happening?
Ok, so I've recently started a new blog - a free one - with the keyword I am targeting in the name so it's keyword.wordpress.com.
The strange thing is that when I search for the keyword in Google.com where there are 250.000 results my blog is nowhere to be found in the first 1000 results.
However I have also tried searching in Google.co.uk , Google.pl , Google.nl and so on for the keyword in the name and even though there are more search results (400.000 - 1.000.000) my blog is around position 300. I'm really frustrated.
Does anyone have any idea as to why this is happening? Thanks in advance.

Both <1000 and position 300 are not really positions to make conclusions from other than: we are not there yet.
Is the keyword very competitive, and even moreso in the USA?
What language are you using on your blog?
- american english
- british english
Did you turn of personalized search?
- log out
- add &pws=0 to your search questions
Where/which countries do your links come from mostly?
You say you just started the blog, how many days ago?
Finally does the site show in index for google.com with site: operator?

I wouldn't think the language bit would make much difference IMO, as long as its in English it shouldn't really change its rankings on .com
If your site is only 12days old I would suggest you keep on with your SEO and you will see your site climb up the rankings in due time my friend and as said above being listed in 300 and 1000 is not the place you want to be trying to work out why one is better then the other.
Do a little more SEO, wait to rank better and then try to work out why you rank better on .co.uk rather then .com
How competitive are your keywords out of interest? Also I read on the webmaster blog some time back that these free blogs don't rank as well as owned domains so it might be worth investing in your own domain, plus it looks much better when you have your own domain as people tend to feel safer and see the site as being more legit if you know what I mean (not sure how to word it but I'm sure you get what I mean) and that's just my opinion so don't quote me on it for how everyone feels lol.

LOL Oh I remember the days when I used to build a website and expect it to be ranking after 5 minutes.. It's passed now.
G takes it's time, relax, do your SEO, make the content in your blog count, and you'll get there

Depends on whos doing the seo , and how competitive the niche is , himanshu on here has ranked his blog for a term in 14 minutes, i do a blog everyday for longer tail keywords and it ranks well within the hour !
So 12 weeks is a reasonable amount of time for certain keywords to rank well !

Lol guys, of course I wasn't expecting to be in the first spot in 12 minutes. The thing that got me wondering is the fact that I show up in google.anything but not in google.com (except for when I search my url) where there are fewer results.
