SubDomains & 301 Redirect Question

Hi

We have 4 partner sites that point to our server.

Our domain is www.mydomain.com
Their sub domain is www.topic.theirdomain.com
e.g
www.cars.theirdomain.com

1. The sub domains point to our homepage & internal pages .sShould their not be a 301 redirect on all the subdomains
e.g if you go to www.cars.theirdomain.com you go to our homepage and can go to every webpage on our site through the subdomain.

2. Should our domain name not be in the sub domain. So rather than www.cars.theirdomain.com, which uses only the topic should it not be ourdomain.theirdomain.com
