Which parameter google uses for geographical search
Hi,

I am wondering how google and yahoo determine where the website is located when we clic the geographical option Canada (for example) or Web.

Does he list the domainname .ca before .com in such case or can i have a .com website and still come out first in search engine for those who search for Canada only ?

I believe that search engines use the IP address that you are connected to the internet with. They also use the IP address of the web site host to determine its location. I dont know who holds the list of contries and IP addresses.
