your brain is the only tool that matters.

use it.

and learn how to use it by reading the past say 4 to 6 months of posts here in every one of our forums....

all else is futile....you'll end up on page 953 otherwise....

The Google keyword tool is the best, it will give you a lot of information, but how you interpret it and use it the trick. That's where the brain part comes in.

Agree with the above. Also throw a few bucks into a Google AdWords campaign and you'll see real life results. Post data is probably the most successful way to see what terms are working for your site.

The adwords external keyword tool gives you a decent idea of what words are popular and helps you find additional terms you may not have thought of.

Google Keyword Tool is my go-to place. I particularly like viewing the number of searches for a particular month. Very useful for those of us who market seasonal products.

I like market samurai a lot. you can get a 40 day trial if you join thirty day challenge with Ed Dale. Like Jim said though, your brain, and it's ability to pick buying keywords that target the intent of a person, is very important.

Smile

JVRudnick - LOL... cannot agree more

That being said I love Google Keyword Tool in AdWords. It will give you a general idea of number of searches performed for a certain keyword.

Cheers

Thanks for your advice
But I think google adwords providing the monthly searches information is not accurate. one of my key word is on the 3rd position in google , google adwords keyword selection tool says that it has Local Search Volume: 1300 and Global Monthly Search Volume 2,400 but we are getting only 6 or 7 visitors per day on that keyword.

Do you really believe google keword tool is good? Then why did not I get much traffic on that key word ?

Please share your suggestion….
Thanks

Well... it depends on lots of factors. What keyword we are talking about, what your TITLE is, who your competitors are, etc.

Google Tool is not 100% accurate, that's true, none of those tools are. That's why you have to use them just as a guide, but your main tool, as JVRudnick said, is your brain

Do keywords research according to intrinsic worth of the website not the virtues of the industry, brainstorming is the best tool.

Hello Nithin

I agree with JV , brain is the best place where you can search for the best relevant keywords for your websites as you are the best judge for your services and you can judge it better that what user's will search for , yes you can always take help from keyword suggestion tools like Google's or word tracker.

Tools are Made by human by using their Mind , SO Brain is the best place to look for keywords

That is exactly what I am doing right now, also I heard about this samurai and Google tools they are good in the sense of reference only. Just the same all comes in natural way of thinking don't over twist the word.

IMHO, like said before your brain, but it must be accompanied with a tool, WordTracker is a good one for researching.
