Where to find your sites Theme?

Now that it seems Google is using Themes for the sites that link to you, how do you find the best themes for your site? Is G using tight themeing or relatively loose themeing?

    How do these ideas fit?

If G is using tight themeing (which I assume it's not) could you could go to DMOZ and look at the categories right in your area?

If G is using loose themeing could have a Jewelry site and get all the categories under shopping (which Jewelry falls under) in DMOZ?

Does anyone know how tightly G is using themes?

    Thanks

    Laura

i think its best to use common sense here.
if i have a veterinarian site....
    my friendly sites would be

    pet care sites
    pet food sites
    animal grooming tips
    animal medicine
    dog lovers sites
    pet memorials
    pet diseases sites
    other veterinarian sites
    veterinarian associations sites
    animal training sites
    seeing dogs sites
    pet store sites
    animal psychiatry sites
    pet psychics sites

just think about any sites that anyone visiting your site may also be interested in.

Tober, in another thread you said
no matter what relaxzoolander turns every discusiinon into a slagging match or belittles someone's intelligence with his remarks
    .

In this thread, zoo gave a good answer to a question without any kind of derogative remark. You, on the other hand, turned this thread into a slagging match. I understand and appreciate that not everyone likes zoo. He can be caustic. On the other hand, he has quite often given excellent help and reviews to members. You don't have to like him, but that is no reason to discredit his "good" replies.

Now, I'm going to get this thread back on track. Wirelesscove, I don't think we know yet whether G is using tight or loose themeing, but I would guess that loose is probably safe.

    CHILL tober!

this is funny but, you need to take a chill pill or find a Manatech distributer and take a Plus.

Also, it appears that you may have learned a little theming from the Zoo.

    wirelesscove:
as evidenced by my answer...i concur with dd...if you are forcing me to qualify the scope of the theme building...i would say i follow a more loose strategy. that was the point of my exemplar above.
