Whats the difference between link and site command?

What is the difference between
link: xyz.com
link: xyz.com (Space has been provided in between link: and url)

site: xyz.com
site: xyz.com (Space has been provided in between link: and url)

this will show u results where 'xyz.com' will be found. Not actually a proper way to use that command coz SE reads it as ' xyz.com'.

'site:' command will show you all pages that are indexed of that site by SE. "NOT to use with space"
