sure. submit it to G themselves....that works....
but are you "sure" you're ready to be indexed? I ask only that in my exp, I've found that SEO practitioners, ie those who do SEO professionally, already know the answer to that query....those who "want-to-be" SEO pros, don't.
which would then lead me to believe that if you're asking that question, your site isnt' ready either....
I'd perhaps re-think your whole on-page strategy and tactics, then ramp up your off-page SEO over the next few months...and by THEN you'll know how to get indexed...AND such an indexing will pay off for you...
else, you'll just be one of the millions of sites that mean nothing....and bring zero traffic/conversions....

JVR makes a great point.
To get indexed, get a backlink from a high PR high frequency of change site (ex. Digg). Or submit directly.
High page rank takes more time as it means recruiting lots of links. It is also of fairly low concern. If you knew what you were doing you wouldn't be asking about either of these (see JVR's comments).
Starting off from the beginning... what type of site is this and what is the bossiness model/plan? Are you selling things? trying to sell ads? Trying to get rich on adsense? Attracting leads for a 'brick and mortar'?
What are your launch plans? How do they tie in to the rest of your business model?
I am just guessing here but I am going to guess that you don't have anything like a good answer to the above questions. And that is why you are asking about things that don't mater much.

Save your dollar and read the sticky notes here, then ask questions.
That site no doubt falls into the "cheap advice" category in EGOL's signature.

Press releases is a good way to get some publicity, authority and backlinks. Your website will get indexed in less than 24 hrs. Digg links are nofollow for those websites which it doesnt trust. So it is useless in your case.

I started a free wordpress blog and whenever I post a new page to my website I create a post on the blog with a link to the new page. Almost always the new page is indexed in 24 to 48 hours. This may take some time to get the serps checking your blog regularly but it may be worth it down the road when you are updating your site regularly.

OnlyWire is cool for bulk social bookmarking. However, I've had sites indexed by just entering my url into the keyword suggestion tool provided free by adwords. works most of the time and I can have a site indexed in under 24 hours. However, many people have told me this doesn't work...so maybe there's some other reason my sites are getting indexed that fast. But that's the first thing I do when I publish a new site. I want to see what Google "thinks" my site is about based on my design and content. Then I find that the Google ends up indexing my site shortly after this crawl.
Anyone else have good luck with this method? Works for me.

I used to tag good post in Digg before, and they have followed links in that time which can speed up the crawling of new content. However, I just hear they have placed no follow, so I think this will not work. But Digg can be a good source of traffic.
I have not tried using other sites like you have mentioned, maybe I can give it a try.
