John Mueller : If you'd like your reconsideration request to be processed, you really need to first have unique, compelling, and high-quality content of your own on these pages (not just rewritten, spun, autogenerated, or otherwise reused content).

I have a potentially blackhat question, please excuse. (In relation to Matt Cutt's against backlinks)

    So here's what i'm thinking,

case 1, Running every backlink generator in the world because google wont harm you as such would be a strategy against the competitor
case 2, Dont run backlink generators because they may hurt in relation to some algorithm which catagorizes in was by related sites, or sets of sites etc

I don't know if John knows what he is talking about here... I haven't seen anyone recover from Penguin without Disavow... You?

Google: Even Without Disavowing, Getting Good Links Can Remove Your Penguin Problems

Question: Let's take a hypothetical situation where a webmaster doesn't know about the Webmaster Tools disavow tool, and the majority of his links are directories or websites selling links, and is obviously affected by the Penguin penalty.Meanwhile, he goes ahead and gets some good-quality links, and the percentage of low-quality links changes-- gets smaller. But again, he doesn't use a disavow file or anything else.
Would this help him-- so if the majority of the links become the quality links, would this help him remove or would Google robot remove the Penguin penalty?

JOHN MUELLER: That would definitely help. Yeah. So, I mean, we look at it on an aggregated level across everything that we have from your website. And if we see that things are picking up and things are going in the right direction, then that's something our algorithms will be able to take into account.

Hi Ann people recover all the time and don't write about it. If they do they tend to be pushing their own agenda, services or some kind of pseudo guru status.

And those that do recover are most likely to simply pickup where they left off and not speak too much about it...I mean isn't this what any sane person that has a business will do.

So...if we see that things are picking up and things are going in the right direction, then that's something our algorithms will be able to take into account... we can ensure in the next update that those people that recovered are in some way penalized via a page redesign, Adwords optimization (reducing filtering options) or anything else we can do to make sure that we are ethically (reducing people's) increasing our ROI

It won't get better either, simply look at how Google's own Android marketplace is stuffed full of amazing games which are plastering ads all over the screens of smartphones to the non-delight of it's users. Nearly every popular game in the marketplace is full of groans of "Great game ruined by Ads".

I'm off to flog a dead horse anyone coming?

Exactly!!!! Hahahahaha! Google probably gave Matt marching orders when they hired him: "Act like you know everything, give them a few tips here and there, dispute a few ridiculous myths now and then, but don't give away the Colonel's Secret Recipe!"

    LMAO!!

Now its time to overlook the search engine. Try your best to serve your visitor, get your visitor as much as you can and one day google will recognize you!

The link does work -- even now -- if you're signed into Twitter.

So if it's that important to you, then make sure you have a Twitter account ready.
