Video backlinks
I have a crafts supplies ecommerce site, and have produced a how to video using some of the supplies that I sell. I'm hoping to generate some backlinks from it. Am I correct in thinking that it will not benefit me to post it on youtube? Or should I post it on my site and on youtube?

I really would appreciate guidance on this. I'm just not sure what to do.
