url and a href links not working

    Hello

I'm new to SEO and would like to start backlinking to my new forum as I make posts. So I've tried the url and a href links but they didnt work. Then I inspected an element of someone elses backlink on here, got this <a rel="nofollow" href="site url" target="_blank">name of site</a> tried it with my site and still didn't work.

The web changes soo fast now I gotta find a new html link that does work. For those who backlink how do you manage to get your link clickable?

    Thanks

Your SEO strategy is to get No-follow links from a blog on SEO? Seriously? You clearly know nothing about SEO so they are either off topic or your site is a scam/spam.
You need to get yourself a real seo strategy. If you can't afford an expert, at least read the stickies and content here.

If you are not new to Google, do research on BB code... and like other members said you should spend more time forum and learn how does link-building actually works...
