Unhappy UK Website only indexed in google.com not .co.uk

    Hi
I started up an ecommerce website a few months ago but all im getting is visitors from the U.S and not the U.K which is my main target market. I have a .com address and my host is in the U.S. Could this possible be the reason.
My website is indexed in Google.com but not in Google.co.uk. I need to be indexed in Google U.K. How should I go about doing this in the most efficient and cost-effective way.
Please note that I am not a web designer myself and so have to get everything done from my web designers.

Yes, that's the reason. Switch your hosting to a UK-based hosting company.

    Hi,

My site is hosted in Germany, and we do well on Google.co.uk, pages from the web, but we dont show up for "page from the uk", so it all depends on wether people actully click "pages from the uk" coz our domain is a dot com as well. On Google.com we dont do that well, so i'm not too sure how relevent being in the uk is, check it our if you want - search "electric underfloor heating" on .co.uk and you will find me on page two www.warmfloorsonline.com, do the same on "pages from the uk" and we are nowere. But all my pages are indexed on the G.co.uk. Hope this helps a bit.

Will moving the host be enough or should I set the .co.uk as the main URL as well?
