Traffic Drop...Google's new design or it could be Google dance?

    hi all,
My site is on top for the one keyword (having a 49000 monthly search volume) since three months. While compare with the last month data, I can see the significant traffic drop for the same keywords. I have seen in many forums that the new design (updated Google) drive less traffic.

Another possible thing is Google Dance. please share you views.

Well, technically, the google dance is a thing of the past... a bit before the Florida update, the google dance was replaced with continuous update creating flux... bla bla bla ... so I guess you must mean an algo update... and there was one a little while ago called May Day.

For quite a while now, serps have been so stable, not even a slight Flux, that it's getting boring to even look at.
Disclaimer : My posts on SEO are just from my observations and I do not say it is a true fact... A real fact of life is that, I'm often wrong...

Ya since he didn't say a word about ranks dropping in Google... it isn't likely algorithm or Google update related.

I don't think that we can consider it as a Google Dance. As you have told us, you have some issues with your site traffic and I believe that one factor that you should check here is the availability of your website. Have you checked if it opens to other browsers?

Another possible reason is the seasonality of the products which was mentioned by fathom. It always work that way for products that are good for specific occasions.

And since it's summer already, consumers might have been busy taking trips and resting in a secluded area. ;)

I appreciate all of you. and I respect your thoughts and answers.

I think May day update affect the long tail keywords or does it affect short tail keywords as well?

So you're saying ranks were affected in some way.

You excluded that point the first time.

Traffic drop isn't necessarily ranks drop.

Guys sorry for late reply, it was so busy week. let me come to point, I have 20 sets of keywords which are the best keywords of industry (by traffic and conversion). my all keywords are on the way of improvement. my 12 keywords are on the first page of G, and I said before one keywords which are having a search volume more than 49k is ranking at #1. but still as per the Google analytic, I can see significant traffic drop for all the keywords. so according you guys what should be the reason behind the traffic drop?
