    As I've said, I agree that it is currently a small, fixed value ranking signal. For desktop search, it was so small that most SEOs did not even know it had been implemented.

    Its biggest impact is a penalty on the very small number of extremely slow loading sites.

    So far, all the indications from Google are that the new mobile index will work in much the same way.

    So, why are you disagreeing with my comments so vehemently on the forums?

    I don't know what you're talking about. I said in August that I thought speed was a ranking element.
