    Title tags

Anyone noticed stange goin on's with their title tags in Google.

I changed my title tag, the next day the data centers were displaying the correct title for some keyword searches, and the old title tag for other keywords.

Today, the new title has completely gone, and the old title remains for all keywords.

... or maybe I should stop playing and leave the damn title tag alone

    Any comments?

    Darren

I agree with you , right now I don't know what google method to match title with keyword. Some listing shows on without Keyword in Title. Almost top ten listing shows title with keywords, but sometimes they separate keyword with another words, what do you think what should I do for write down the title for new algorithms.

Google will switch to cache and actual page.
It does this more when googlebot crawled the file and it's being updated in the index...
Use the cahe while working on the actual file.
It may even switch to an older cache sometimes, like reverting to last update.
This is normal... and it will cause you position to bounce up and down... until cache is = to actual page... then you'll get the standard Flux.
New pages do this... it's there... it's gone... it's back...
    Empty cache = you're gone ... actual = you're there...
For the keys to use in the title... you have to try... no tricks.

Yes, my cache is also old. About 2/3 weeks old, aswell as title tag.

It has a slight impact on the serps, nothing major though.

How long would you expect this to be the case, also Google used to spider my index page daily, not it's three times a week.

    Is this new?

Well last update was done not even 2 weeks after the previous one.
This is a change all right. Are we gonna have an update every 2 weeks now...
After an update there is always a pause with googlebot crawling ... So the pause is not new...

The information showing in the google search is about 2 months old.

The cache for the information shown in the google search is 2 day old (been tweaking)

The title for the cache showing is 3 weeks old, not the one that should go with this cache.

I don't know what it means, but you ask if anyone noticed anything strange. I've never seen this before, so I thought it strange.

Same thing is happening for me, my homepage is sticking with its new title however the second listing for a particular keyword is for a page i had changed 3 weeks ago to something new.

As of yesterday it showed both new titles, today just homepage and not second listing.. on and off every other day it seems like.

Yes as I said it may show a chached page.
I did see it very often... search this key... fresh page title... search this one... get an old title.
It's not new... it was like that last summer.
    Just normal behavior.

this post...although it appears to respond to the first post...really has nothing at all to do with it except for the topic of 'title'. you say....'yes i agree with you...' and then you continue to speak...without starting a new sentence...thereby leading me to believe you are going to elaborate on the same thought that you agreed to....this thought being googles displaying of old titles and new titles....but then you go and start rambling about whether googles matches show keywords in the titles or not. so i have to ask myself....is it me....am i losing my mind that this sort of illogical thought pathway should seem senseless and annoying to me so much so that i have to stop and post about it. am i alone in my need for order and reason. i read the post over and over....trying to change my feelings about it. trying to find some way to make it make sense. make it responsive and meaningful regarding the first post. but i come up with nothing. that so 'enticing' and 'luring' "i agree with you.....yet so deceiving. like someone saying "hey...its nice and sunny today" and someone else saying "yes i agree with you....pizza makes a fine snack"....and you just think "what the f!?!"

[edit]---->nuttakorn...i am feeling better today and i just wanted to say that my comments were not directed at you personally. there was nothing wrong with your post. i just forgot to take my medicine yesterday.
