Time to index large sites
Hello all,
Just wanted to find out how long it takes to index a large site (25,000+ pages), and how many pages it will index each time around? |

From my experiences, it all depends on how well your links are set up. But dont expect it to be done quickly... Thats a bunch of pages. However if they are created dynamicly, (phpnuke or other cms) then you might not be able to get more than a few hundred ever indexed. Im having this problem now.
Good luck, Josh |

Last month is when the site went live, and google visited a little over 1,000 of them then. There are 25,000+ physical pages within the site, each with a unique title, and a little variation within the content. Right now google is being my friend, and is placing those pages it visited within the top 3 pages when searching for that page title. Quite a few are listed on the first page, but it varies of course. Anyway, I've been excited today since the google-dance, and am already seeing a noticeable difference in traffic. Thanks for your reply.

jwarren93 - if this is a brand new site, it will take 2, possibly 3 months before all your pages are spidered and included in the index.
