Thoughts about social bookmarking sites and traffic gaining.
Hi to everybody! Several days ago I've stumbled upon this article - 225 Best DOFOLLOW Blogs-Websites List - Best of weblogsites. The question is - is this method of traffic attraction is still good and effective and worth using or this info is outdated and such methods will rather harm? Why do I ask such question - I'm constantly trying to find effective ways and methods of traffic attraction to my site and not sure what methods are better to use?

I wouldn't pay much attention to any list which has been built based on the links in it having to be followed!
Instead of using these lists you would be much better of off from both a traffic and seo point of view, if you was to look for sites/blogs which are relevant to your own and hold authority your niche and/or surrounding niches, because those are the sites which are more likely to bring you targeted traffic and help with your seo!

So your advice is not to use such sites? The thing is that our project is a web analyzer (you can take a look at it in the "Site Review" category or find the link in my profile) and though I'm trying to follow advices about bringing traffic from niche sites, this process is very slow and very labor intensive and I need more methods of traffic attraction and backlinks building. Damn, I thought that that article might be helpful
My head soon is going to explode in the process of seeking of effective ways

Use them if you have something decent to share. As said, your time is better to be invested in other SEO aspects.

I understand. What aspects can you advice as a more experienced SEO specialist?

Relevant link building with trust and authority. Guest blogging perhaps? Looking for 1-way links - manually requesting links?

As both Josh and myself have said above, you want to aim for links from authoritative sites which are relevant to yours and guest posting is a great free and a relatively easy way to gain one way links from such sites.
Have you tried myblogguest.com? Not all the sites are authoritative from the members on it, but most of them are or will be of value in the future as the people in that community only publish unique content on their sites because that's the rules, you only submit unique content to each other!
Another option would be to contact sites like SEO Chat with a quality article or two and ask if they wouldn't mind publishing it/them for you. You articles/posts don't need to be about your web analyser, just something relevant to it. For example, you could write a details article/post about link building and include a part in the content about how important it is to analyse websites before gaining links on them etc.

I've tried myblogguest.com but I don't have any blog to connect to it, thus I can't post anything

I don't know what to write about! I'm not very experienced in blogging and SEO so it is doubtful whether I could write something really new and interesting.

You could always start your own blog about analysing websites etc! You could blog about how to analyse, what to analyse and show people different stats that are important to work out what visitors are doing, how to get a better conversion and so on, the options really are limitless because analysing each web site can be different!
And if you really can't write for s**t, you could pay people to do the content for you, just make sure you hire someone good and remember you get what you pay for! so don't hire some cheap kid lol
