Strange things happening to how google displays me in serps!!
When you search abstract art on google uk, my homepage appears on the first page for “abstract art” and says this: Modern and Abstract Art news
When you search “artwork” my homepage appears on the first page of google uk and says: Artwork. When you search wall art, which appears on first page google uk it says: All Buy Art 1. What is puzzling me is normally google publishes my results in the serps as: “Modern Art | Abstract Art | Buy Artwork | Wall Art News online” which is the same as my homepage title tag. This phenomenon isn’t happening to any of my competitors. Can anyone shed any light on this? |

If you're saying that Google are changing the title according to the search term used, I don't see it!
In all those searches, your title is the same for me (Modern Art | Abstract Art | Buy Artwork | Wall Art News online)

its gone back to normal now but for about 2 days google was using the anchor text from my highest PR incoming links as the title in the serps. I Wonder why, maybe my site was down when google crawled so it went for the next best thing. Or maybe they were experimenting. |

every time when a site appear on the SERP google looks for the lost relevant content for the user purpose. Maybe in your case, its just an old page or page you've change but being crawled by google and just pass on and go back to your final decision of changing the info of the page.
