    Strange Links!

    Hello Everyone!

I've managed to get over 100 links from a pretty decent site (PR6 and 5 for most of the pages) - But the links are a little strange!

Here's how he's linked to my site:

    Code:
    <a href="http://www.my-site.com/">My keyword       </a>
Is this likely to be less important than a normal link - ie, without the big gap!?

    Any opinions welcome! 8)

This Kind of Link is much better, for climbing up the Results for youre keyword.

Google counts links with a keyword in it very heavy.

    For example:

I own a Site , and i sell Electric Fireplaces etc. I have made an small Freecounter-Service for our Visitors. In the Alt Tag of the Graphic i put Gratiscounter Service.

    And now look at this:

    http://www.google.de/search?q=gratiscounter+service&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=de&meta=

When you look on my Keywords, Titels, Describtion etc. you wont find any Word about Gratiscounter Service. But im Number one for this Query.

I hope you understand why its important!

Thanks Firestarter! - Anyone know if the gap in the link will "water down" the anchor text or not?

The space will not harm you but I would suggest asking the webmaster to change his link.

In the future you should hand the webmasters a link that you want with your keywords on it.

Give them the whole html and not just your url and keywords, this way all they have to do is copy and paste your code where they/you want it.

Considering It took alot of slow and painfull negotiation just to get the links, and that there's over 100 - I don't think I'll bother!

Good advice all the same MetaGod. 8)

Look at my Sample above with the Counter-Service. All the pages that have a Counter from my Site installed are not related to my Site or to an Counter-Service.
Its only Important to get Keywords in the Link and perhabs an little describing text.

Ok I have to go to Bed now. Its Time.
