Still not crawled
hello everyone,
be grateful for some input. Im working on my first site, its very simple and all, but im getting to grips of whats needed to a point. If anyone would take the time to pm me for my url and give me some advice id be grateful. problem im having at the mo is that when it was crawled 5 weeks ago it didnt have a links page or a sitemap and it pretty much sank to the bottom. Its got a few decent links on there now and im hoping to be better placed after the next crawl. It was last crawled on 9th Nov by google. Isnt that a disturbing time gap between crawls? Over 5 wks now pls help. |

Easiest thing you can do is go and create some backlinks for it. As long as you are not banned google will eventually find some of those backlinks and come back to your page and recrawl it. Obviously the more links you have the quicker this is going to happn.

You need quite a few quality ONE WAY links pointing to your site (preferably from similar theme sites) to get re-crawled and cached by Google in a timely manner these days. To get better service from Big G, try implementing a Google Sitemap to tell them how often you revise your content. From what I am seeing this month, even sites with PR5 and hundreds of links wait weeks sometimes between deep crawls and re-caching. This is not unusual. The more links and trust your site acquires, the quicker you will get re-indexed. Since Big Daddy, Google has changed it's crawling policies - not only does it not bother fully indexing sites with few links (often leading to many pages showing as Supplemental Results) it also reduced the crawl rate significantly on less popular sites.

Submit your site to the REVIEW section if you want some feedback ....
As for crawling your site ... The more links you have the more deeply Google crawls your site. The more changes they see between crawls the more frequently Googlebot will return. |
