Static pages....

Ok, I have a database driven auto parts site. But since search spiders like static pages better due to ease and high probability of accurate crawl, my company built a 'static page generator' that generates static pages from our database content. So even though all the content on our site is originally from a database of product info, we have manipulated the data in a way that outputs it onto static html pages.

Any way, I would like advice on a problem. Our homepage ((URL address blocked: See forum rules)) has a google page rank 5. But for some reason, every other page on our site has page rank 0. Even the first level pages linked to from the homepage. I would think that since the pages are static, it would be almost certain that page rank would be passed along to them through the links from our homepage. But it ain't happening. The 'static' site has been live since late August. Any ideas why page rank isn't passed from the homepage to next level pages?

They could have just missed out on getting PageRank, only pages created right at the begining of August will have got PageRank at the last Google update, a couple of things create a html sitemap and link to it from your home page if not all of your pages, use text links on the html sitemap, try and use text links with relevant text to interlink your pages wherever possible, this will help the PR flow, in any case I expect with a PR5 on your home page in January you will see your sub pages getting PageRank.

Thanks a whole lot for the input.

Question - how do you know when page rank updates are taking place? David Eaves up there says they had an update in early August, and will have one again in January. How did you get that information?
