Not worry about them. A site with Site Links is usually considered an absolute authority for the keyword being searched. You may be able to get these much further down the road, but it would be a result of lots of ongoing efforts. |

if we acquire sitewide links, what would be its effects on the ranking of a new site?

Usually if you type in the name of the site you will get the site links. You can delete a site link in Google's webmaster tools. I did that on one that didn't make sense, and then the Site links went away for a month or so. But when I got them back they were right-on.

You get Site Links once you've garnered enough trust for the keyword being searched. Dan001 is correct about them appearing if you search for a site's name, but if you're referring to getting them for targeted keywords, it would be highly unlikely for you to get them as a new site. At the very least, you need to give time for people to link to you in a great enough quantity of quality links before Google recognizes you as the authority for a keyword.

Google's definition of Sitelinks:
"Sitelinks are additional links Google sometimes generates from site contents in order to help users navigate your site." I have them on a couple of my sites, and they took a few years to get there. You may be able to get them quicker, but I highly doubt you will ever get them on a 3-month old domain. Consider yourself lucky you're not in the sandbox, and just keep working on your site, adding links, etc. If Google deems your site worthy, it will automatically apply sitelinks to it.

Welcome to Seochat. This thread is about Google Sitelinks, not sitewide links... However to answer your question, the effect of sitewide links (on the ranking of any site), depends on the nature of the link(s): If the same link (same anchor text, same url etc) appears on every page, you will most likely "get credit" for a single link... and all the rest will be ignored. But - if you have links on multiple pages of another site to multiple pages on your site (eg: a link from their "pink widgets page" to your "pink widgets page"... a link from their "blue widgets page" to your "blue widgets page" etc etc), and each link aims at a related page on your site and uses relevant anchor text, you will (most likely) gain a lot more (in ranking terms rather than page rank) from them. </off-topic> ![]()
