    Hey Gabs

I have had the same thing.

I placed a link on a site. They seem to have cached my index page for some reason. Trouble is google has been along and indexed my page as thiers.

My site has been dropped from the index recently and I am wondering if it is seen as duplicate content?

The page has gone but it is still in the index as a supplementary result...

No, my main page is still in limbo.

The other sites page is listed as a supplementary result. I contacted G about it and got a standard reply back including not using cloaking to decieve. Absolutely nothing to do with what I wrote about, I would have prefered them to not bother, these "send them standard E mail number 27" replies are a bit of an insult.

I had hoped that this bl update would have helped it disappear but it didn't. Trying to get in touch with the sites webmasters, see if they can help...

If I set up a 302-redirect from my site to your site my site can/will be listed when you search for site:www.yourdomain.com (haven't tested with 301, but I guess it would be the same(?) regarding search result using site:)

Check the headers of the site showing up in your search and you will find out if they are redirecting to you.

Could they possibly have just copied your site?

Sorry wit perhaps I should have put

    www.***imusingthisformyexample***.co.uk/phplinks/out.php?ID=219

That is not the real domain I just don't want any reference that can be read by a spider

LOL - it looked pretty real to me, especially since there are other countries' versions.

So are you talking about xxUK-CLxx?

I'm using a free tool called WebBug to check headers. You can download it here:
    http://www.cyberspyder.com/webbug.html

Just a tip: You would normally have to use HTTP Version 1.1 (1.0 is default) when you do the check.

Heh, I only tried to check using web-sniffer.net (I reckon Mano's tool is similar). That link-out appears to be a 302. But the big question is if that site uses the funny stuff to rank high... It's hard to spot IP-delivery (if that's what you suspect) so what can you do? FWIW, I would try to get rid of an especially fishy BL...
