SERP showing different positions in google.com in computers with different ip
Hi,
I am an seo trainee in an institution. The keywords for which I am targeting for the project is appearing in top positions of google in my computer while the site is not at all in the SERP's when my client searches in his computer from different location.
How it happens? Is there any ip tracking occurs while searching and listing in SERP?
Please help me out.
Regards,
Manju

You are in an institution!
Google provides personalised search results. So if you visit a website alot (because you are working on it) Google will skew the results towards you.
If you are signed into Google it's even stronger. Google's search differs depending on your geographic location, browsing history and how much Google knows about you ... and it knows a lot!!!
If you want to see where you really rank for a keyword use Google Webmaster Tools
