SERP Changes Over The Last Week

About 2 months ago we lost ground in Google moving from several top 3 positions down to approx. position 6-8. Over the last week we have made up that ground and more gaining several top 2 positions.

Has anybody else seen a similar seesaw?

The reason I'm curious is because I have been doing some link building since the drop and would like to know if the rise can be attributed to my link building efforts or if there has been a change in the Google algo.

Can I ask you what websites do you use for link building?

Thanks

There's lots of possibilities. But the usual ones are:

- It's a flux in Google (which happen quite reguarly)
- Your competitors made a push on their site's SEO

From my experience, it's not unusual to see a temporary negative flux in position for a search term when pushing hard with a link campagin. So long as your not doing anything questionable I wouldn't fret about it. Especially during a heavy/aggressive link campaign. Stay focused on the Prize.

Have a great day.

If your link building is from sites in the same niche with some PR, then that has probably contributed to your better SERP position

Well done!
