Red face Back on business
After lost the index in more than half of the DCs, we are back on ranking #2 and #5.

It took a little more than a week to fix the problem, but this was what Google Guy promised. I do not know we should thank him, or mad at Google who mess the things up at first place.

I guess it may be some do with sub-domain URLs.
Like: forums.seochat.com, store.mydomain.com

And I've got a site with 5 subdomains that weren't touched. I don't think that was the issue.

It's bound to be a combination of factors. I doubt that they just nuked all the sites that have urls with more than two hyphens in them

I'm very curious, so I'm waiting for one of Matts buddies to spill the beans on what happened (and why they didn't just leave it like that but rushed to 'fix' things).........

i am not subdomained and was affected by this. it was a random google error, i don't think it had anything to do with the sites involved - or the home page rankings would have changed as well.

It seems that similar problem is exhibiting in Google API as well. Google API does not return any page for some sites.
