What I did, I have blog, on each post page, I used to show 6 SIMILAR POSTS, with little 10 words excerpts for each posts, lately I decided to show 6 random posts too. Now I show 6 similar posts and 6 random posts and without any excerpts on each post page.

I found that my traffic started decreasing so I thought I have so many links on every page and I should decrease page per link so that page get more value. For that I now show 6 similar posts, 4 random posts links. But I decreased links from category, now its show only those category for which posts belong so almost saved 10 links per page, then I also removed FEED link I used to show from other site from 16 to 8 per page..
So total I removed around 18 links per page but added 4 new links per page, then I removed TAG cloud shown per page, so again removed 25 links..

TO sum it.. I added 6 new links per page then found ranking being dropped, I thought its so many links so I reduced almost 42 links per page.

But still my rankings are dropping a lot. The blog is about entertainment material . I am daily loosing traffic and I think its because I am loosing rankings but still I m not able to pin point the problem.

So question is .. should I restore back to earlier shape as it was, it all started when I added 6 new link for random posts pages.

What are your views.. Please help..btw, earlier I was least concerned about SEO as traffic was rising gradually hence I was concentrating on building content and services for my this entertainment blog.. Its kind of portal now. See it SMSnShayari.com

PLEASE Advice..
Its Pinching me real hard..

Patient: It hurts when I do this!
Doctor: Don't do that!

Sometimes its best just to scrap the whole thing and go back to square one. Doesn't look like there is any baby to throw out with the bathwater here....

Lucky they were nice guys and removed my feed after I got in touch with them.

IF you have a weak site and lots of people are republishing your feeds then your traffic can fall to nothing.

Well, I have bunch of stupid people who every now and then republish my content as it is kind of content building thing on that subject. Can't do anything for those as mostly new blogs set it to publich my feed automatically and then forgets about it.

Regarding jokes and being reactive, I already understood it and had decided to do what I want to with site ie. making it better in terms of content and usability.

No offense, you jokes were perfect on me for a while.. lolz

But looks like something bad is there with this site, it was going better and better every day and suddenly this happend (ie. the topic I started) after that it was recovering at very slow pace but yes recovering but now just had shock of the life, site is gone back to days when I had started it.. Now I can only sitback and laugh on myself

I even started a topic here : http://forums.seochat.com/google-optimization-7/anyone-saw-sudden-drop-in-traffic-in-past-1-or-261743.html

Ricky, just so you are aware you site is linking to a site that hosts malware:

http://www.smsnshayari.com/make-money/
"The website at www.smsnshayari.com contains elements from the site computergamescity.com, which appears to host malware"

The diagnostics for the site your linking to:
http://safebrowsing.clients.google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?site=http://computergamescity.com/%3Fadcid%3Dencmpid045%26cn%3DEN%26pub%3D017&client=googlechrome&hl=en-US

Could be a reason with why your rankings and overall traffic is dropping.

This can really be a setback.. But here I am not getting this warning from google, how you got that error ie. what you searched ?

I dont have experience in dealing with such situation ie. google finding my site offensive, though I don't think I ever linked to computergamescity.com
Right now I am checking my db for this term.. may be I can find something.

Update:
Search DB, search pages and manually search many things (like comments etc) but nothing found pointing to computergamescity

I now need help, guidance for tackling this issue

I was using Chrome to open it (because IE wouldnt even load your site.. stupid windows 7 flaw). Chrome flags you when Google has marked a site as possibly malicious.

If you open your site in Google Webmaster Tools, you should see a red warning bar at the top displaying such a problem.

I don't mean it's a web site bug, I mean its a system bug. Sometimes IE8 just wont connect to any website, making me have to close and reopen and eventually it will work. I use chrome to get around that.

As for not being able to use chrome to check the flag, use WMT and you will be flagged on there.

Not able to get hands on chrome in this computer but checked webmaster tools and there is no such warning there, gone through each link in webmaster tools for that site, it should be on DASHBOARD for that site but nothing there.

One thing I noticed that my site is no more there for top keywords it should be, not even top 30-40 I just checked for any of the top keywords given on WMT, for few I am there but at lower position than mentioned in WMT.

Actually yesterday too I was browing WMT for this site to find out some clue , but today and yesterday I see difference that few top keywords are missing today, it shows last updated on 16th july ..

Any clue ?
