Scattered Results
Hey all,
i have been doing SEO for about 6 months now, my site has been live for about 3-4 months. I still don't get much of traffic but because this is my first SEO project i don't really know whats normal and whats not, i get anything between 30 - 60 uniques a day which isn't much to brag about although my site is very new. The results i'm getting are scattered and inconsistent in most cases. I was hoping that someone could shed some light on the situation and give me some clarity to let me know if i am doing ok or if i should start thinking of outsourcing my SEO work. Like i say this is my first project and am starting to get concerned that the results are small A concerned SEO'er

Hi,
The results you're seeing can, of course, depend on a lot of things. Context is key. So here are a couple questions to get the discussion started. 1) What market are you in and how tight is the market? 2) How is the site ranking relative to competitors? 3) If you're using tracking software, such as analytics, what's your bounce rate and navigation tracking like? That is, are those 30-60 uniques a day finding what they're looking for on your site? 4) What are you doing to increase conversion rates or specifically target prospective visitors? |
