?s on Google dance and penalties

Hi, I am fairly new to the Google dance/penalty arena.
Basically, my site was coming up in the top 10 for a specific keyword for over 4 months on google, but recently is nowhere to be found. I find it now around 55 searching yahoo.

My site did not change much at all (if anything, improvements were made to do better in google), yet I don't understand what happened. Often I don't even see my site anywhere it used to do well unless I search on my site name. Very weird.

How do I know if I have been penalized or banned, or not? Does the mere fact that I show up when searching my site eliminate the possibility of me being banned? But what about penalties? How can one tell?

Is the dance affecting results for the last two weeks, or is this a permenent issue? Any help would be appreciated.......thanks in advance.

Desperate daddy11ac.

changes to site

I am justgetting started on the SE Opt aspect. Site was originally only an html home page and a storefront using Miva (SS XML).

My store pages were not being crawled because I have a global dhtml menu to get to them. I know, I know.

Recently I have started to build html files of products, and these files are similar to the dynamic product pages in the store (code very similar, just these are html files not in store) , and then linked to these html files from my home page. I was able to still code the store functionality I needed into the html files (add to cart, buy now, etc.) as they were only form requests to my store.

So, anyhow, right around when this crawl started, my site has disappearred for many keywords I did well on previously, such as "myoplex" (10) or "muscle milk" (4). These were there for at least two months.

So I am worried that either I got penalized, or perhaps the shuffling of the cards has Google now saying, "sorry guy, your site needs more work".......which is fine. But the drop off was significant, not like dropping a few slots, so...???

Thanks

I have a question,

I have put on a few extra pounds since Christmas (1999) and I've seen some of your products that say for example:
' An "evolutionary" muscle formula promoting efficient fat burning, lean muscle growth and fast recovery from exercise, and also one of our most popular products! '

Is this true or is it a crock of BS? - Can I really burn fat more efficiently by eating? - and by that does it mean I can burn fat more efficiently (i.e. burn less fat) or burns more fat for energy?

Just a thought

Hi....most product descriptions come straight from the manufacturer, which we disclose on our site. Please let me know which products specifically you are asking about, and I'll give you my honest opinion. Most of the stuff is fairly good, if used correctly....but there are no magic fat burning potions.....let me know

Robin - I'm EXCELLENT in this area too... I'm a regular in the gym!!

There are only 2 ways you can increase how you burn fat by consuming things...

1. They very simply induce a thermogetic effect i.e. you get really hot and burn fat by transforming it into heat energy. (forget this method)

2. The only effecient way to burn fat natuarally is to eat a portion of high quality protein and a portion of complex carbohydrate, and a vegetable (tomato etc..) every 2-3 hours. Trust me, eating this frequently actually increases you motabolism and your body will continue to burn energy at a rate you won't believe...

Never leave more than 4 hours between meals, don't eat ****ty foods (you know what I mean).. make sure you use HIGH quality protein such as chicken or turkey breast, fish (tuna), or egg whites (not the yellow part).

Carbohydrates should be controlled to pretty much only complex, they take longer to motabolise, giving you the feeling that your fuller for long.. Complex carbs are pasta, potatoes .. all the low fat ones!!

Believe it or not, I've seen people who didn't loose weigh until they actually started eating MORE FOOD -- purely because their motabolism was greatly maximised ... some exercise is a must as well though!! The best exercises for long term fat burning are anearobic exercises (read about them) they include weight training ... muscle burns more fat than anything .. you'd never believe how much!!

Although I don't want to offend anyone, those products are pretty much a "crock of BS".. they only time you'll need supplements is when your body can't get enough of them naturally (such as protein supplements when you train frequently, along with creatine and vitamins).

burning fat

i cannot say I agree wholeheartedly with the "crock of sh*t" opinion. I would never say they are "necessary" items, and I agree with your statements above.....actually, i share the same opinion and practice similar methods (although sitting behind a pc at a desk can be a challenge). That is why I feel a lot of the meal replacement products are excellent.

But yes, it is not a secret that eating more often in correct proportions of balanced items does increase metabolism and help burn fat......I am not a creatine fat (water pump in my opinion), but I do have meal replacements regularly at work or on the guy...fast and easy. Bars the same way too.

The ephedrine products are a whole other animal. Do they work? Yes, if taken properly. They may simulate an effect you can achieve naturally, but some people prefer the help. I do not, but hey....to each his own.

thanks for the post. Now can you help me with google? LOL
