hi friends,
i am working on online mobile phones portal and one our affiliate site has 60% same content as of our site. but our site is very old as compare to the out affiliate site .. so, is this duplicacy will harm to both or to affiliate only with regards Ankur Batla |

Google can easily smell thin affiliate sites and treat them accordingly.. so be it their duplicate content or one page sites or fewer links, they will stay far away from your website.
A company's portal gets ever evolving and never ending improvements in the form of SEO efforts including content, links, natural links and traffic ofcourse.. An affiliate site, unless very authority cant beat your efforts down as such. If that had to happen, many would have taken over amazon, e-bay, apple and all.. Do not worry, google can prioritise the website and give the required benefit to the desiring site based on the fact which website had the original content at first..
