    Receiving Bad Links

I am receicing these type of back links for my site:

    vyf.subaruedmonton.alondrahanbury.com/6ft_dvi_d_cable_hdtv.html

    hbh.nissanvitupera.russellwalstow.com/cable_modem_best_price.html

    awi.bmwrentals.cristoferoxenford.com/compare_price_and_best_broadband.html

How can I avoid these type of links. If I should restrict their IP in robot.txt?

Your help would be highly appreciated.

No inbound link can directly hurt you.

Having said that, I believe the anchor text they use to link to your site can lower the overall density for your targeted keywords' link anchor text.

To be honest I'm not sure how to stop the links from being crawled by the Search Engines.

You can't restrict inbound links using robots.txt. It will not harm you anyway. What I suggest is to submit a spam report to Google if you have webmaster tools account.

Google is takeing these sites as a back link for my site. I dont think that this type of links helps your site ranking rather they are harmful. That is the reason I want to stop crawler to read these urls.

At least I can restrict their IP.

Try Google webmaster tools, it may have options there to remove those backlinks URL's or you can contact webmasters of that site to remove those links but it will a difficult job to do.The most recommended is to continue your link building efforts and increase your high quality links so that it will outshine those that do not help your rankings. As said earlier, those links cannot harm you, you just need to have more quality links in order to rank well.

Alright. Let me try out webmaster tool if it can help. My only concern was to remove these type of links from my inbound links because if they are not harmful at the same time they are not even useful.

    Anyway thanks for your help.

I really wouldn't concern yourself with these links. Personally I'm grateful to them providing me with a link for no effort, additional anchor text variation, and on occasions even traffic. More often than not the link will be on a page with too little strength to pass link juice, but that's not always the case.
